Chongqing’s 187km outer ring highway is due to be completed at the end of December. The highway passes through seven districts, including Beibei, Shapingba and Jiulongpo, connecting the key economy areas in the outskirts of Chongqing. The 58km Beibei-Xipeng section in the southwest is the fastest section of road, with a designed maximum speed of 120 kph.
