Brazilian soya imports continue to surge

7 April 2010
Chinese imports of Brazilian soya are forecast to reach 43m tonnes in 2010 as the country looks to build up stocks at a time of relatively low prices, according to a report by Seatrade.

Imports have been growing at an annual rate of about 20 per cent over the past three years. Today, China accounts for around half of all Brazilian soya exports.
