China Southern Airlines expects a 20 per cent rise in revenue in 2010 thanks to the robust performance of the Chinese economy, Reuters reported. Executive vice president Chen Gang said revenues would rise to US$7.3bn.
The Guangzhou-based carrier has a fleet of more than 360 aircraft, and it generates 80 per cent of its sales from the China market. An additional 130 aircraft will be added to the fleet in the next three years, Mr Chen said.
China Southern plans to inaugurate a new four times weekly all-cargo service from Guangzhou to Amsterdam on 8 July, Logistics Week reported. | |
