Goodman Group, the Australia-based logistics property developer, plans to build a 5 sq km logistics hub between Beijing and Tianjin over the next seven years.
The park will be located in Langfang, Hebei province, close to major transportation networks. When the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway is completed, the travelling time between Beijing and Langfang will be reduced to 10-15 minutes.
Last year, Goodman started a joint venture with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to own and develop logistics assets in China. The joint venture currently has investments in four logistics centres in the Yangtze Delta region. Major tenants include DHL, Lotus Supermarket, NYK Logistics and Sinotrans.
