Chinese ports recorded a container throughput of 11.08m TEU in April, up 23.2 per cent year-on-year, according to Ministry of Transport statistics quoted by Xinhua. Throughput of general cargo increased 18.7 per cent to 560m tonnes, of which foreign cargo accounted for 220m tonnes.
