The administration committee of Wuhan Bund announced on 22 June that trees along the river banks in Hankou, Hanyang and Hanjiang districts are now open to the public for adoption. Once approved, a plaque will be placed alongside the tree with the name of the adopting person.

There are two ways to adopt a tree. One is to pay an annual fee of Rmb200, which will cover the cost of professionals to look after the adopted tree.
