Chongqing’s No. 1 light rail section from Chaotianmen to Shapingba and the No. 3 light rail section from Ertang to Jiangbei airport will open for trial operation in 2010, according to the municipal government. By then, it will only take 26 minutes to travel from Shapingba to Chaotianmen and only half an hour from Ertang, Nanan district to Jiangbei airport.
