The Yangtze River port of Taicang has launched two additional direct services to Taiwan, reported Xinhua, bringing a total of four regular weekly services to this route.

The port, situated about 50km upstream of Shanghai, handled 22,300 TEU between January and July for its Taiwan services, nearly equalling the 23,112 TEU throughput recorded for the whole of last year.
