AirBridgeCargo Airlines, part of Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Group, has started a twice-weekly all-cargo service between Zhengzhou airport in Henan province and Frankfurt, via Moscow.
The scheduled cargo operator plans to increase frequency to four-times-a-week by the end of 2010, and to operate a daily service next year.
Zhengzhou is AirBridgeCargo’s fourth destination in China; it currently offers twice-daily services to Shanghai, and daily flights to Beijing and Hong Kong. The company said it wants to have a presence in fast-growing central China, which it says is currently under-served by international all-cargo airlines.
AirBridgeCargo is Russia’s largest cargo carrier, operating Boeing 747 services via its Moscow hub.
