Construction started officially on 28 September of Gree Electric Appliances’ refrigeration industrial park in Chongqing. The 813,000 sq metre park will be located in Dazhulin high-tech park in the city’s New North Zone. When completed, the Rmb2.2bn park will manufacture household and commercial air conditioners, compressors and motors. It will be the largest facility of its kind in western China.

Based in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, Gree is the world’s largest manufacturer of residential air conditioners.
