Pfizer has officially opened a global research and development centre for radiation biology and drug development in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province.
The centre will provide intellectual support for the company’s worldwide clinical drug development projects. By 2012 the number of employees will increase from 40 to more than 200.
Pfizer entered the Chinese market in the 1980s. Today it has a staff of nearly 4,000, four plants in Dalian, Suzhou and Wuxi, and four laboratories and an R&D centre in Shanghai.
