Fixed assets investment in Chongqing between January and August 2010 increased 30 per cent year-on-year to Rmb365.58bn, Chongqing Statistics Bureau announced.

Rural areas have been one of the main focus areas, receiving Rmb28.52bnbn in the first eight months. This was an increase of 45 per cent year-on-year, nearly 20 percentage points higher than in the urban areas.
