Dow Coating Materials plans to invest US$25m to expand capacity in the China market by the end of 2011, especially in second- and third-tier cities, said the company’s Asia-Pacific general manager Bruce Hoechner.
The US-based company will build new plants in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province and Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, and will add facilities in the Guangdong city of Foshan.
Dow Coating Materials recorded US$3.7bn in China sales revenue last year, and it employs 3,900 staff in 20 production bases across the country.
