Premier Wen Jiabao visited Wuhan Yangluo terminal on 22 October. After a briefing from local officials on the terminal’s expansion plans, he watched the loading and unloading of the container vessel ‘Cosco 3’.

The premier commented that modernising the Yangtze is not just about expanding capability to serve local industries, but also making sure that the environment is protected and sustained for future generations.
