No-frills carrier The Containership Company (TCC) has decided to expand its current services from China to Los Angeles to include a call at Qingdao, in addition to Ningbo and Taicang.
The first sailing from Qingdao is scheduled to take place on 15 November with the 2,900 TEU vessel Shenzhen Dragon. This service will have a scheduled transit time of 14 days to Los Angeles. The first westbound sailing from Los Angeles to Qingdao was due to leave port on 25 October.
The company’s COO Franck Kayser said plans were in place to start a new service in 2011 linking south China to the US west coast. “We also have projects ongoing for intra-Asia and Asia-Europe,” he explained. “Our idea is that next year we’ll have three services. | |
