Advanced Micro Devices, the US-headquartered microprocessor manufacturer, will expand output capacity at a plant in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, reported China Knowledge.
The first phase of the output expansion will be completed at the end of 2011 when output capacity will be doubled, said executive vice president Bob Rivet.
The plant, which is located in Suzhou Industrial Park, went into operation in December 2004 with an investment of US$100m. At present, the plant is responsible for the CPU chip testing for two-thirds of its computers worldwide.
