Suzhou port, the administration umbrella for Taicang, Changshu and Zhangjiagang terminals, reported a throughput increase of 36 per cent to 2.98m TEU in the first 10 months of 2010.
Taicang alone recorded 1.79m TEU, up 59 per cent year-on-year, while Zhangjiagang is expected to exceed 1m TEU for the first time in 2010 after last year’s 870,000 TEU. Changshu’s 2009 throughput stood at 334,000 TEU.
