Chongqing’s total import and export value in the first 10 months of 2010 reached US$9.12bn, up 49 per cent compared with the same period in 2009. Exports grew 59 per cent to US$5.38bn, according to a local government website.
Chongqing Bonded Port Area recorded a foreign trade value of US$1.04bn in the first 10 months, up 84 per cent. The municipality has exported 213,300 of notebook computers since September, valued at more than US$100m.
