Chongqing’s minimum wage will increase by Rmb190 a month from the start of 2011, according to a municipal government website.

The new monthly rate in the nine main urban districts will rise from Rmb680 to Rmb870. In outlying districts such as Wanzhou and Qianjiang, the rate will go up from Rmb560 to Rmb750.
