According to statistics from the Yangtze River Administration under the Ministry of Transport, Zhangjiagang terminal reported a throughput of 937,000 TEU in the first 10 months of 2010, up by one-third compared with the same period last year. General cargo totalled 164m tons, an increase of nearly 34 per cent year-on-year, of which 39m tons was foreign trade-related, up nearly 20 per cent.
Zhangjiagang, Changshu and Taicang terminals are all under the same administrative umbrella of Suzhou port.
