China’s Ministry of Railways has announced that it is working with Bank of China to launch a pre-paid swipe card system for users of the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway service. This mode of ticketing is similar to those used in major urban public transport routes and is eventually expected to be rolled out across the high-speed train network.
