Tsingtao Beer has agreed to invest Rmb50m in a production facility in Jiujiang, Jiangxi province, with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, according to senior inward investment officials from the city’s ETDZ. Further details were not disclosed, but a delegation from Qingdao comprising the deputy secretary general of Qingdao government Zhang Shibing, deputy director of Qingdao State Assets Management Commission Li Deli, and deputy executive general manager of Tsingtao Beer Sun Yuguo met with Jiujiang’s Party Secretary Zhong Ligui and toured some potential sites between 30 November and 2 December.
Jiujiang is Jiangxi province’s only major port city on the Yangtze trunkline.
