China’s 2010 iron ore imports dropped 1.4% year-on-year to 618.6m tons, the first decline in a dozen years. The December import volume was 58.08m tons, up 1.2% according to data from the General Administration of Customs.

China exported 42.6m tons of steel products in 2010, an increase of 73 per cent.
