Chongqing is to set up more than 300 fixed and mobile traffic checkpoints over the Spring Festival. Police officers will be cracking down on speeding, overloading, drink driving and driver fatigue.

The Public Security Bureau will also pay informers who tip them off about overloaded passenger vehicles.
