Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, has recently been appointed by the State Development and Reform Commission to pioneer reforms in the services sector, reported Chengdu Daily. This means that within the next five years, the city will undergo structural changes and explore new ways to develop the sector as a new growth area. Priority will be given to services sector companies in the areas of corporate finance, project approval, government subsidies and pricing reforms.
