According to a report by China News Services on 23 February, 70 per cent of the drilling work for the Shanghai-Nantong Yangtze Bridge has been completed. The bridge is located about 38km upstream of the Suzhou-Nantong Bridge and will comprise four rail tracks and six car lanes, with a main span of 1,092 metres.
Work started at the end of 2010 and is expected to take three to four years to finish.
