The Three Gorges Administration of Navigational Affairs signed agreements on 25 February with 18 barge operators involved in shipping dangerous cargo that they promise to abide by rules and procedures relating to passing the Three Gorges. Details of the agreement and the barge operators concerned are not yet known. This initiative is part of the administration’s efforts to reduce accidents in the area.
