Low water levels on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River continue to have an impact on shipping in the region. The Yangtze Maritime Safety Administration has stated that ships with a draught of more than 2.7 metres are not allowed to enter Chaotianmen port area in Chongqing until conditions improve.
