Two of China’s biggest toll-road operators are searching for more expressway projects in the country, reported South China Morning Post.

Zhejiang Expressway chairman Chen Jisong said his company is stepping up efforts to seek out suitable toll roads to acquire from its parent Zhejiang Communications Investment Group. Meanwhile, Anhui Expressway said it will also increase investment and accelerate roadway construction.

“The demand for passenger travel caused by the rapid growth of vehicle ownership and the demand for cargo transportation will provide sustained momentum for the steady growth of the company’s business,” said Anhui Expressway chairman Zhou Renqiang.
