Washing machine manufacturer Wuxi Little Swan will invest Rmb649m in expanding its output, according to a company statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

It hopes to increase its annual capacity from current 16m washing machines to 25m units. The company has three production bases: in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, Hefei in Anhui province and Jingzhou in Hubei province.

According to reports, Little Swan started selling air conditioner earlier this year with the launch of 12 new models in its home city of Wuxi.
