Household electric appliance manufacturer Sichuan Changhong Electric earned an operating income of Rmb41.7bn in 2010, up by nearly one-third on the previous year. The Sichuan-based company posted a net profit of Rmb290m, an improvement of 146 per cent on 2009.

Its sales volume of LCD and plasma televisions increased by 41 per cent and 71 per cent respectively. Televisions account for about 35 per cent of company turnover, and other important products include air-conditioners and refrigerators.
