Nanjing Port Group, the largest common-user terminal operator in the capital of Jiangsu province, reported a 39.8 per cent growth in container throughput during the first three months of 2011, bringing the total to 405,400 TEU. Throughput of general cargo increased by 16.6 per cent year-on-year to 20.48m tons.

Nanjing is one of the top Yangtze River ports in terms of cargo volumes.
