Amazon.com, the US-based online retailer, is to establish a logistics base in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, reported Xinhua.
The 100,000 sq metre base is located in Kunshan Huaqiao Economic Development Zone and the two warehouses will be put into use in July and September, respectively.
All online orders placed in the Yangtze River Delta region will be handled by this centre.
When completed, the logistics base will be the largest of the company’s existing bases in China, in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Kunshan is located in southern Jiangsu, to the southeast of Suzhou.
