The global express transportation group DHL has launched a scheduled rail freight service between Tianjin and Ulan Bator in Mongolia.
The three-times-a-week cross-border service is being put on during the high season between April and October, and is aimed at the consumer, fashion, machines and spare parts sectors, according to DHL.
The service is designed to help customers avoid peak season congestion at regional border crossing points, which can sometimes delay shipments substantially.
