Yunnan provincial government is going all out to building a modern rail freight network, according to Xinhua news agency. Of the planned 40 rail freight stations, 17 have already been completed. These stations, essentially logistics parks with packaging, warehousing, trading, distributing and other facilities, aim to connect Yunnan with other provinces and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia.
