Hong Kong-based logistics services provider Kerry Logistics has begun construction of a 42,600 sq metre logistics centre in Xiamen, Fujian province.

Situated in Haicang Export Processing Zone, the centre will accommodate a wide range of products from sectors including hi-tech and electronics, food and drink and perishables, and is scheduled to begin operations in the third quarter of 2012.

The company said the logistics centre would be well located to cater for the growing levels of trade between Taiwan and mainland China.
