According to officials of Wuhan Reform and Development Commission, the country’s largest electric bus production base is being built in the city’s Hannan district. The project, costing Rmb3.3bn, will have an annual production capacity of 3,000 buses and 10,000 sets of core parts, worth a total of Rmb11bn.
Yunda Ruihua, the manufacturer, has already obtained 45 patents and claims world-leading R&D capability. Its electric-powered buses are already running public transport routes in 25 provinces and municipalities. After charging for three hours, these buses can run continuously for 250-300km at 120kw per 100km.
