Kerry Logistics, the Hong Kong-based logistics service provider, has started construction of a 26,000 sq metre logistics centre in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, reported Cargonews Asia. It is due to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2012.
The facility will focus on the electronics and hi-tech, auto spare parts, retail, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Its offerings will include warehousing, value-added services, distribution and freight, said Edwardo Erni, Kerry’s managing director for mainland China.
Wuxi Logistics Centre will be located in Wuxi New District’s Wangzhuang Industrial Park. It connects directly to National Highway 312 and is also close to Wuxi airport and the Shanghai-Nanjing expressway.
