Finnair is to start flights to Chongqing from May 2012. The carrier plans to fly the route four times a week, operating an Airbus A340 aircraft. The journey time from Helsinki to Chongqing will be eight-and-a-half hours.

Chongqing will be Finnair’s third mainland Chinese destination, after Beijing and Shanghai.
