A new highway in Yunnan province collapsed at the end of last month just two days after it opened to traffic, reported China Daily.
Experts said the collapse was caused by torrential rain that led to rockslides on a nearby mountain.
The 92km-long highway cost Rmb20bn to build and runs from Xinping Yi and Dai autonomous county to Sanjiang county in Yunnan province. | |
