Hong Kong Airlines is to start daily direct flights between Chongqing and Hong Kong from 1 September, raising the total number of direct flights between the two cities to three a day.
A Boeing 737-800 will be deployed on the route.

Wang Yankun, commercial director of Hong Kong Airlines, said that discounted tickets would be made available to those who booked in advance.
