Hong Kong-listed EVA Precision Industrial Holdings has acquired the automotive moulds company Digidie System International (Chongqing). EVA hopes to secure orders from the growing number of international carmakers in the region, such as Ford, Mazda, Suzuki, Isuzu and Volvo.

The Chongqing government expects the output of Chongqing’s automobile industry to reach 5m units by 2015.
