China’s container throughput in the first eight months of this year rose 12.6 per cent from a year ago to 106.8m TEU, reported Shanghai Daily.
Domestic ports handled dry bulk cargo of 770m tonnes between January and August, an 11.2 per cent year-on-year increase, the Ministry of Transport said.
Shanghai remained the country’s busiest port, handling 61m tonnes of cargo and 2.8m TEU in August.
