AstraZeneca, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, is to invest US$200m to build a new manufacturing facility in Taizhou, Jiangsu province. Construction work on the project is due for completion by the end of 2013.

This will be UK-based company’s largest single investment in a manufacturing facility. It will produce intravenous and oral solid products, the company said.
