Germany-based chemical company Oxea is to build its first chemical plant for the production of oxo derivatives in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park. Scheduled to come on-stream in 2013, the new plant will serve the fast-growing demand for oxo derivatives in China and Asia.

Oxo derivatives, such as alcohols, polyols, carboxylic acids, specialty esters and amines, are used for the production of coatings, lubricants, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products, flavourings and fragrances, printing inks and plastics.
