Sinopec and Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC and Pizza Hut, have signed a framework agreement for the joint development of restaurants at petrol stations and highway services areas across China.
Under the agreement, Yum will open 50 KFC, Pizza Hut and East Dawning restaurants over the next five years. The US-based company has already opened seven restaurants at Sinopec petrol stations in Shanghai and Guangdong.
Sinopec has introduced convenience stores at more than 30,000 of its petrol stations in China.
