Hong Kong-based Kerry Logistics is set to construct a new logistics centre in Zhengzhou, Henan province. Work will start in the second quarter of 2012, with completion scheduled for early 2013.
The logistics centre is located in the Singapore International Logistics Industrial Park, close to a national highway and the Longhai Railway, which connects the coastal city of Lianyungang and Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province. It is some 20km to the southeast of the city centre.
The new facility will target the automotive, electronics and technology, industrial and material science sectors.
Meanwhile, another international logistics company, Logwin, has opened a sales office in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.
