Moscow-based AirBridgeCargo Airlines has started scheduled all-cargo services to Chengdu International Airport in Sichuan province. The city has been added to an existing route between Zhengzhou, Moscow and Amsterdam that operates three times a week using B747-400 freighters.

Until now, Chengdu has been served by the Volga-Dnepr Group and AirBridgeCargo on a charter basis.

The airline hopes to win business from suppliers of time- and security-sensitive commodities for Chengdu’s expanding high-tech industry.
