Accidents involving 21 vehicles on a road in Jiangsu province killed two people and injured six others on the morning of 11 February.

The accidents occurred in heavy fog on an expressway between the city of Changzhou and the provincial capital Nanjing, reported Xinhua. The road is part of an interprovincial expressway that links Changchun in northeast China with the southern city of Shenzhen, which borders Hong Kong.

A witness said heavy fog reduced visibility to around 20 metres in places.
