Escorted by pilots from Wuhan Piloting Station, a multi-purpose ocean vessel named Jianglian 28 was delivered safely to its German owners in Shanghai on 6 February.

Measuring 153.8 metres in length and at 14,400 dwt, this vessel is the largest that Jiangzhou United Shipyard in Jiangxi province has ever built. This is particularly significant both for the shipyard and the local shipbuilding industry as the seven-day journey on the Yangtze River to Shanghai presented a major challenge in negotiating water depth and bridge restrictions.
